STEP.1POSCO Idea Market Place discovers and invests in promising technology-based startups.
We welcome pre-startup and early-stage startups(less than 3 years old) from the industries specified in the announcement to apply for our support.
Applications Open In: March & August

STEP.2In this stage, we will carefully review your submitted application and business plan to assess eligibility criteria and evaluate the technology, business, and capabilities of your startup team.
Review Process: April / September

STEP.3The initial evaluation process will consist of an IR presentation – if necessary, you may also submit additional materials separately to support your pitch.
Initial Evaluation: Late April - early May & Late September - early October.

STEP.4At the second evaluation stage, we conduct on-site inspections at the location of your startup team to gain a comprehensive understanding of your operations and assess various aspects including the actual status of technology development and commercialization.
Second Evaluation: Mid-May / Mid-October

STEP.5At this stage, we invest in the selected startups immediately upon their selection, providing a significant advantage to our chosen entrepreneurs. After conducting comprehensive evaluations of each team's growth stage and industry sector, we will engage in individual investment negotiations to determine the final selection of the IMP team.
Final Selection: Mid-June & Mid-November

STEP.6Our incubation stage offers essential nurturing programs for early-stage startups, including professional consulting in legal, accounting/taxation, labor, and patent areas, as well as seminars, training, and networking events.

STEP.7IMP Demo Day is held annually! We officially introduce the final selected teams to potential investors, making it the perfect opportunity to attract follow-up investments.
